This boxed set contains 10 geodes of assorted sizes. The label explains the geological formation of geodes and gives safety instructions for breaking. Hammer is not included. Adult supervision required.

What is a Geode?
Geodes are formed from fluids which crystallize in cavities within a rounded rock or nodule.  Geodes are found in many parts of the world.  The geodes contained in this set are from Mexico and 90% of them have hollow centers lined with crystals.  Break open yours today to look for the hidden crystals.

How to Break Open Your Geodes
Put the geode in a bag or sock.  Hit it firmly with a hammer, aiming for the center. (Safety glasses are recommende.)  Take care not to hit your fingers, and be sure to use an old sock- it will probably get a hole in it!
