There are two lighting options for this microscope.  The first is a standard 15W microscope bulb with plug.  The second option is an LED light which allows greater control of the amount of light that comes through your specimen with both a disk and an adjustment for the strength of the LED light. The LED option also comes with an adapter so you can charge the internal battery making it a cordless microscope with great versatility.
