This item includes 12 ounces of iron filings in an easy-to-dispense jar.

It's simple to map magnet fields! Place a magnet under a sheet of paper.  Sprinkle a small amount of iron filings onto the paper and tap gently.  The iron filings will have the greatest concentration around the strongest part of the magnet.
