All the fun minus the mess!   The magnetic field viewer contains iron filings sealed within a 3.25" diameter tray. Includes two tester magnets.

How to use: Place the disc magnet underneath the dish and gently shake it.  What do you see?  Notice how the magnet "grabs" the filings in certain areas of the magnet.  There should be a few separations, or breaks, in the pattern of the iron filings, which indicate the separtions between the poles of the magnet.
